To obtain the best quality fertilisers it is imperative that the worms are in top condition, therefore we maintain and feed them to the highest standard. Our worms canbe bought direct from our farm for composting and fishing.
Fertilisers decisions made by farmers should start with and rely on the knowledge of the current fertility status of their soil. These decisions need to account for the nutrient requirements of plants for growth, nutrient availability in soils, and nutrient losses that can occur during crop growth (e.g. de-nitrification or erosion).
There are two broad categories of fertilisers: commercial (chemical) and biofertilizers. Both bio and chemical fertilisers are used as a source of nutrients to improve plant yield and destroy plant pathogens. Chemical fertilisers are extracted and refined, whereas bio fertilisers are minimally or processed or completely natural.
100% natural and organically certified supports sustainable farming solutions. It acts as a biofertilizers as it is free of any chemicals or synthetic matters. It rejuvenates the soil in a natural way, by bringing much-needed nutrients and healthy microflora back to the soil and enhancing their absorption by plants.
Examples of naturally occurring organic fertilisers include manure, slurry, worm castings, peat, seaweed and guano. Green manure crops are also grown to add nutrients to the soil. Naturally occurring minerals such as mine rock phosphate, sulfate of potash and limestone are also considered Organic Fertilisers. At Vermigold™ our motto is "SAVE THE SOIL" and that is exactly what our 100% organic fertilisers do.
Offer the best nutrients for effective plant growth.
Much more gentle than chemical fertilisers.
Less likely to overfeed your plants.
Not immediately absorbed into the plants.
Can withstand heavy rainstorms and irrigation sessions that could wash away chemical fertiliser.
Organic and conventional fertilisers are safe for lawns and the environment as long as they are used properly. The process of how plants absorb nutrients is the same whether they come from an organic or inorganic fertiliser, so, from the grasses' perspective, it doesn't really matter which type of fertiliser you use.
